My slot machine is a combination of 18 daily objects which were used to create a new version of this electro•mechanical gambling machine. Objects that have become symbolic or of importance in the present Iranian climate. Each pull of the handle combines three of these objects at random. No object is repeated as in a normal slot machine, so the chance to hit jackpot is not provided in the combinations. With each pull of the handle, the player experiences randome•ness but there are never any winners. I have used an object from another culture to demonstrate an internal situation here in Iran.
